Professor Wagida Anwar is a distinguished leader in public health and currently serves as a Professor of Public Health at the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University. With a career dedicated to advancing public health both in Egypt and internationally, she has made significant contributions to various fields, particularly in environmental health and scientific research.
Her expertise is recognized through her involvement in several prestigious committees and organizations, including the National Toxicology Committee at the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, and the Health and Population Committee of the National Council for Women. Additionally, she holds leadership roles as the President of both the Egyptian and African Environmental Mutagenesis Societies, as well as the Secretary-General of the International Federation of Environmental Mutagen Societies. Professor Anwar also serves as President of the Specialized Federation of Scientific Research NGOs and the Specialized Federation of Health System Improvement NGOs, while contributing as Vice President of the General Federation of NGOs and Foundations. Through these roles, she has played a pivotal part in shaping policies and initiatives that improve healthcare systems, promote scientific advancements, and foster better environmental health.
Professor Aya Khalil is a distinguished Professor of Biological Anthropology at the Medical Research and Clinical Studies Institute, National Research Centre (NRC), and a Consultant Pediatrician. She holds a PhD in Pediatrics from the Institute of Postgraduate Childhood Studies, Ain-Shams University, along with a master’s in Pediatrics and an MBBCH from Cairo University.
Professor Khalil is also a certified Lead Auditor in ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems. With over 20 years of experience in academia, she has served as a researcher, instructor, and member of the editorial board for various international journals. She is actively involved in numerous committees at the NRC, including the ISO-17025 Committee and the Sports Medical Centre Committee. Professor Khalil is also a member of several international societies, including the Association Médicale et Scientifique Francophone et Internationale (AMSFI) and the Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD). Currently, she is the Head of Nursing Technology at the Faculty of Healthcare Technology and Head of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Unit at Saxony Egypt University for Applied Science and Technology. Her work continues to shape the future of healthcare and education.
